Ahmed Shreef. born in Egypt, Alexandria on Oct 17, 1987. after finishing general secondary school (aka High school), I chose to break the rules and have 2 year studies at the Technological Institute instead of joining Commerce or Law college as I had a plan to finish my studies at that institute and then join Engineering College, but looks like the plan didn’t work as expected and I had then to join the Egyptian army to finish my mandatory military service which was a very educating experience. after that, I went back to study Information Technology at EELU university while I was working as a Senior Software Engineer at optts.com .

When I was 16 [2003], I started to have interest in programming and creating my own websites. this lead me to start learning programming using PHP4 at this time. then after a year of learning PHP, I started my first professional job as a web developer and started to read about other languages like C, Java, Python and JavaScript.

Agile, Software Architecture and open source are some of many things that attracted me since I was 17. before joining the army, I was contributing to Zend Framework and I’m now back again to contributing to ZF2 from time to time.

The other non-technical side about me, is entrepreneurship. I started to learn programming originally as I wanted to build a website that can compete with a Local Egyptian news & entertainment portal called Masrawy (yeah, it was 2003), but looks like I fell in love with programming and decided to continue with that path for a while with a promise to come back again and build my own project -isA-. I started since 2009 to work on that again and finally I found the right team and  Co-Founded with them Eventtus.
