<div style=”text-align: right;”><br></div><div dir=”rtl” style=”text-align: right;”>مصادفة انهاردة كنت عايز اشوف الأخبار فى google news و كنت متوقع انها انجليزى كالعادة, لكن ظهرلى منها نسخة عربى على عكس المتوقع.<br>كان احتمال ان الخدمة دى تقدم باللغة العربية ضعيف على حسب حساباتى فى وقت سابق و دة ليه اسباب :<br><br><ul><li>قلة المواقع الأخبارية العربية “الحقيقية” نسبيا <br>إذا دخلت وشفت النسخة الأنجليزى او الصينية حتى , حتلاقى انهم بيعتمدوا على عدد كبير جدا من مصادر الأخبار يفوق العدد الى بيعتمدوا <br>عليه فى النسخة العربية بمراحل.</li><li>خدمات الـ RSS Feeds و الـ web services فى المواقع الى موجودة شبه معدومة.<br>لمة بتدخل على المواقع الأخبارية العربية قليلا لمة بتلاقى الخدمات دى موجودة , و انا من شهرين تقريبا كنت شغال فى حاجة ليها نفس فكرة <br>google news و كانت المشكلة فى المصادر بتاعة الأخبار و ازاى حتجيب الأخبار منها , <br>بعد البحث وصلت لبعض المواقع الى بتقدم RSS Feeds و كلها مواقع اخبارية اجنبية بس بتقدم خدمة الأخبار بالعربى بالأضافة لموقع قناة <br>العربية, على العكس ان فى حالة google تلاقى انهم بيجيبوا اخبار من مواقع مش بتقدم اى من الخدمات المذكورة .<br>احتمال اعتماد google على الـ spiders بتاعتها فى انها بتعمل جرد للمواقع الأخبارية دى و بعد كدة بتعمل إن صح التعبير قص لجسم الخبر<br>وبياناته و بعد كدة بتستخدمه – اعتقد انه احتمال شبه منعدم لآن google مش حتخاطر بأن فى يوم من الأيام الموقع الى بيخدوا منه الخبر يغير<br>هيكلية عرضه للصفحات .<br>الأحتمال التانى و اعتقد انه الأقرب للصحة هو ان المواقع الأخبارية دى جالها عرض من google نفسها بحيث ان المواقع دى توفر لـ google <br>بوسيلة او بأخرى بيانات عن اخر الأخبار الموجودة عندهم [ حتى لو الخدمات دى مش متوفرة للزائر العادى ] و اكيد عدم توفير حاجة زى كدة <br>للمستخدم العادى ليها سبب عند مديرى المواقع دى , و انا كنت سمعت مجموعة من الأراء عن ليه فى ناس مش عايزة تقدم الخدمات دى رغم انى<br>مش مقتنع بيها و غالبا بتكون المشكلة مش فى مطورى الموقع  على قد مهى ضغوط اخرى !!.</li></ul>على فكرة المشروع الى كنت شغال عليه دة وقف فى نصه تقريبا , و السبب هو ان كل الملفات راحت لمة مجموعة من الظرفاء عملوا format للهارد <br>و صديقنا<a href=”http://drnetwork.spaces.live.com”> احمد كيلانى </a>كان موجود و هم بيفرمتوا الجهاز المسكين و وقف يراقب الجريمة فى صمت.<br>مش حنسهالك يا ابو حميد , ليك شبكة واقعة عندى إن شاء الله <img src=”http://shref1.spaces.live.com/mmm2006-07-28_14.20/rte/emoticons/smile_tongue.gif”><img src=”http://shref1.spaces.live.com/mmm2006-07-28_14.20/rte/emoticons/smile_regular.gif”> , lol <br><br>سلام<br></div> <br>

you can get the Zend Framework preview release 0.2.0 now. this preview release comes with some new components and enhancments.

 GData Client Library is a PHP 5 component that enables PHP applications to run queries and commands against Google GData web sevices. For examples, Google Base, Calendar, Blogger, and CodeSearch.

I don’t know if you noticed that or not (I didn’t notice it anyway). Chris Shiflett wrote in his blog about the “undo close tab” option. just right click with your mouse on any tab and at the end of the menu you will find that option.

Also, I have noticed another thing when I was writing this post. you can spell check more then one language. just right click with your mouse on any <text area> , in the menu go to “languages->add dictionaries”  which will show you a list of available languages. till the moment, there is no Arabic dictionary supported there but I hope that it will be available soon.

check the new MDC (Mozilla Developer Center) for more. yea, it’s still beta, but we are the beta community too.

PS : noticed that ? MDC here means “Mozilla Developer Center” not “Middle East Developers Conference”.

I have received a new mail today from the customer support at the TE-Data company. this got me angry, do you know why?!!
2 months ago, I have sent them mail to know more about their hosting planes as there is no enough information on the website. I thought that they will replay after 1 or 2 days but for my surprise they phoned me after 30 minutes max. the support guy started answering my questions but from what he told me , I can tell that he don’t know any thing about web hosting. I didn’t write all my questions in the mail so started asking him about other things, but he couldn’t answer me then he asked if I want him to send me e-mail contains detailed answers to my questions and a list of prices. I told him “this will be nice”.
what?? did you get it ?!!
he sent me the mail TODAY. after 2 months. and this was the worst support mail I have ever received from a company. it’s not formated well and didn’t answer any of my questions. also there is typos in the mail (ASP.net was written ESP.net).

this was about the support. now let’s talk about the prices.
they have a very expensive web hosting service. and the registration price of a .com domain costs 350 EGP which equals 62.5 USD .I can register .com domain from godaddy just for 10 USD .

bad support and high prices. dropping this company from my list will be a wise decision .
now let’s analyze all that to get some helpful  points :

1. use a qualified people to support your clients.
2. be professional when answering  questions or sending emails.
3. study your market to provide the best prices and services.
   (there is a big hole between this company’s hosting service and the other competitive companies like link.net)

I hope that I didn’t forget any point.

FireFox 2.0 is here guys. it’s amazing.
here is some of the new features :

1. more enhanced interface and tabs.
2. inline check spelling .
3. javascript 1.7 .
4. enhanced searching.
5. phishing protection (like the one in IE7).
6. browsing sessions can be saved now.

you are encouraged to upgrade to the new version. upgrading to the new version won’t make you lose your bookmarks or preferences, but maybe your outdated extensions won’t work until updating .don’t worry, the installer will check your installed extensions to check for compatibility with the new version.
I have installed FF2.0 without problems at all. and all the extensions are working fine.

another thing, the Internet Explorer development team sent cake to the FireFox team for the release of FF2.0 .
